Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the city or relax after your international journey.
Nairobi offers several optional attractions such as local markets, wildlife centers, and cultural experiences.

Day 2 – Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, your safari begins with a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you will stop at viewpoints overlooking the dramatic escarpments of the Rift Valley.
You will arrive at your safari lodge in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the vast savannah plains of the Maasai Mara.
Wildlife sightings may include lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and many other species.

Day 3 – Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara
Today you will spend a full day exploring the wildlife-rich landscapes of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to observe predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The reserve is also home to large herds of elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, and zebras.
If visiting during the Great Migration season, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.
Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari at sunrise or a visit to a Maasai cultural village.

Day 4 – Nairobi to Uganda
After breakfast, return to Nairobi for your onward journey to Uganda. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
This day allows time to prepare for the exciting gorilla trekking adventure ahead.

Day 5 – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today you will travel through the beautiful countryside of Uganda towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The journey passes through scenic landscapes, rolling hills, and traditional rural villages. Bwindi Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most biologically diverse rainforests.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and attend a briefing about the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 6 – Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience
This is the highlight of your safari.
Early in the morning, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the rainforest with experienced rangers. The trek may take anywhere from one to several hours depending on the location of the gorilla family.
Once located, you will spend a magical hour observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Watching these gentle giants interact within their family groups is an unforgettable wildlife experience.
After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 7 – Transfer to Lake Kivu, Rwanda
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and cross the border into Rwanda. The journey continues through Rwanda’s scenic hills to the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu.
Lake Kivu is one of Africa’s Great Lakes and offers stunning views, peaceful beaches, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 8 – Leisure Day at Lake Kivu
Today is dedicated to relaxation at Lake Kivu.
You may choose to relax on the lakeshore or participate in optional activities such as:

Day 10 – Departure from Kigali
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
