Our story began with a love for East Africa its wildlife, landscapes, and cultures. Many members of our team grew up in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, or Tanzania. We spent our early years exploring national parks, listening to elders share stories around the fire, and learning to respect the natural world.

As we got older, we saw how tourism could benefit local people. We also noticed areas where it often fell short. In many places, safaris were run without real community involvement. Locals were left out, and travelers missed chances to experience the true heart of Africa.

That’s when the idea for Traford Safaris came to life.

We didn’t set out to build just another tour company. Instead, we wanted to create something meaningful. Our goal was to design safaris that offer more than sightseeing. We wanted them to leave a positive impact on both the traveler and the places visited.
